Chitosan oligosaccharide

Product Introduction:

Chitosan oligosaccharides, also known as chitosan oligomers or low-molecular-weight chitosan, are oligosaccharide products with a degree of polymerization ranging from 2 to 20, obtained by degrading chitosan through specialized bioenzyme technology (with some reports also indicating the use of chemical or microwave degradation techniques). These oligosaccharides have a molecular weight of ≤3,200 Da and are characterized by excellent water solubility, significant functional effects, and high biological activity—making them low-molecular-weight products with remarkable properties.

Chitosan oligosaccharides are the only cationic, alkaline amino-group-containing oligosaccharides with a positive charge found in nature; they are animal-derived cellulose. Chitosan oligosaccharides are small-molecule oligosaccharides with amino groups, derived from the degradation of chitosan— which is sourced from shrimp and crab shells—and consist of sugar chains with degrees of polymerization ranging from 2 to 20.

Chitosan oligosaccharides are produced by depolymerizing chitosan, representing an upgraded product in the chitin and chitosan series. They possess superior advantages that chitosan itself cannot match. Prepared using advanced bioenzymatic methods, chitosan oligosaccharides boast the following benefits: low molecular weight, excellent water solubility, powerful functional effects, easy absorption by the human body, and high biological activity. At the same time, they feature characteristics such as being completely natural, free from radiation, pollution-free, and additive-free.
